Precisely and exquisitely designed details of the exterior and interior, along with realistic structures and props of the ECTO-1 can all be seen on this. Wearing white paint with Ghostbuster livery and powered by a V-8 engine and automatic transmission, the Ecto-1 replica is riddled with details and props to replicate the car used in the film, right down to the lighted sides, Code 3 public safety equipment, proton packs, traps and particle throwers and more. This 1959 Cadillac is a Miller Meteor Ambulance conversion and has been dressed in Ecto-1 livery inside and out, but seemingly in the “Ghostbusters II” guise, complete with the protective sewer worker outfit and hardhat. With their image restored, so too was Ecto-1, becoming Ecto-1a. Discovering negativity in the sewers of New York, the Ghostbusters were again on the scene, using the distressed Ecto-1 to save the city from certain disaster. In 1989, Ghostbusters II hit the scenes, the story unfolding that the Ghostbuster’s had fallen on some hard times, including Ecto-1. The perfect size for holding all the scientific gear needed to catch the evasive afterlife and the warrior ghost hunters, Ecto-1 became one of those instantly recognizable Hollywood cars that everyone loved.
